Head over to the new BLOG
Bit quiet here at Eye on Life!!
It seems that the obsession with all things pirates continues……. He’s not a particularly scary pirate though to be honest. More a gentle pirate. The sword did get used in a packed Gloria Jeans last week…..to cut his raisin toast, but thankfully there’s been no throat slitting at all. A peace keeping Mummy loving pirate (and if I’m being honest, more than occasionally a whinging pirate).
Of course I should really have been proofing the sessions I have backed up here instead of doing these images, but they’re just too cute and delicious.
These have been processed with my newly developed Toned BW preset for Lightroom. I really like this one. One thing losing all my presets has done is made me look at how I process, and come up with new ways to do things. Not a bad thing really.

Gosh it’s amazed me how much you lose when your computer goes down! Let’s just say that everything has been somewhat on hold while I get back up and running. I’m still not there, but well on the way thank goodness. For those of you who have had a session in the past few weeks, I’m working at lightning speed to get your images online for you. Here are a few sneak peeks for starters…..
What a cute bunch of kids! This group of images was from my latest Portrait Party. Many thanks to my valued regular client Alison for hosting the party on what was a very, very cold morning! It was so wet under foot that I was soaked almost to the knees.
I have a few openings for parties left in August, but after that there will be no more until mid-October, as the family and I are taking a well-earned trip overseas. The party hostess gets a percentage of all sales from prints to spend on her own portraits, so if you’re feeling the pinch, or simply love to save a buck, it’s a great way to get your portraits done.
Now, back to my computer problems….. As part of the crash I have lost my entire address book, and all emails prior to the end of June. If you have sent me anything prior to this date that you think is important, please re-send. And I’d love emails from everyone – family, friends & clients to help me rebuild the address book 🙂
I’m also in the middle of preparing my new website, which will hopefully launch some time over the next few weeks. It’s fresh, modern and completely different to what I have now. Stay tuned. Changes to this prettydaggy old blog will follow too.
Congratulations to Chris and Katherine on their recent wedding. It was a most beautiful day, and I thank you so much for allowing me to be part of it. Here is a small preview of images from the day:
Many thanks to Cass from Caspix Photography for her second shooting 🙂
Full galleries will be up on the website very soon!
